Treecycle Changes in 2024

CHANGES MADE TO CITY'S TREECYCLE PROGRAM

Some important changes have been made to the city's Treecycle program this year.  You can still recycle your Christmas trees to be made into mulch,  but you must take them to a designated drop site. The most convenient one for SLCG members is at the Sloan's Lake Northwest Parking Lot at W. Byron Place and Yates St.

This site will be open on the following Saturdays: Jan. 13, Jan. 20, and Jan. 27 from 8 AM to 2PM. Sites at the Cherry Creek Transfer Station, Havana Nursery, and the Central Platte Campus next to the Denver Animal Shelter will be open every day from Jan.2-31 from 8 AM to 2 PM. Blue Star Recyclers at 953 Decatur St. will recycle broken or burned out holiday lights. You can put your tree out for collection on your large item pickup day, but those trees will be taken to the landfill and not recycled.
